Deep Dive
1. Purpose & Value Proposition
0G addresses the centralization, high cost, and lack of transparency in traditional AI. Its mission is to make AI a public good by building a decentralized AI Operating System (deAIOS) (0G). This foundational layer allows developers to build applications where AI logic, data, and computation are verifiable and not controlled by a single entity, fostering trust and censorship resistance.
2. Technology & Architecture
The system is built as a modular stack of interoperable layers. At its core is the 0G Chain, a high-performance, EVM-compatible blockchain for execution. This is supported by three key infrastructure layers: 0G Storage for decentralized data, 0G Data Availability (DA) for scalable data verification, and the 0G Compute Network, a marketplace for GPU-powered AI inference and training (0G). This modular design lets projects use only the components they need.
3. Tokenomics & Governance
The $0G token has a total supply of 1 billion. It is used to pay for gas, storage, compute, and DA services, and to reward node operators and validators. The vesting schedule is structured for long-term health: team and backer tokens are locked for 12 months post-launch, then vest over 36 months. In contrast, 38% of the Community allocation was unlocked at the token launch to immediately reward ecosystem participants (0G).
Conclusion
Fundamentally, 0G is an ambitious attempt to rebuild AI infrastructure from the ground up on decentralized, transparent principles. Will its modular, all-in-one stack become the preferred foundation for the next generation of trustless AI applications?
