GT is the foundational token for two interconnected platforms. On GateChain—a public blockchain launched in 2019 focused on asset security and decentralized trading—GT is the native asset used for paying transaction fees, staking for network security, and governance voting. Simultaneously, on the Gate.io centralized exchange, GT acts as the platform's primary utility token. Holders use it for trading fee discounts, VIP tier upgrades, and access to exclusive campaigns and launchpad events like Startup and LaunchPool.
