Deep Dive
1. DePIN Foundation & Vision
AIOZ Network operates as a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN). This model incentivizes a global community to contribute spare storage, bandwidth, and GPU/CPU power from their devices, forming a distributed "people-powered internet" (CoinDesk). By late June 2026, over 326,000 devices were participating, having delivered more than 26,000 terabytes of data.
2. Core Product Stack
The network's value is delivered through three integrated services built atop its DePIN layer:
- AIOZ Storage & Pin: Provides S3-compatible, decentralized object storage and uses IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) pinning for permanent, tamper-proof file archiving, crucial for NFTs and AI datasets.
- AIOZ AI: A decentralized marketplace and compute network where developers can upload, share, monetize, and access AI models and datasets (Blockworks). It includes "AI Challenges" to crowdsource solutions for real-world problems.
- AIOZ Stream: A peer-to-peer protocol for video-on-demand and live streaming that allows creators to retain content ownership and monetize directly on-chain, reducing reliance on centralized platforms.
3. Token Utility & Architecture
The native AIOZ token is the economic engine. It is used to pay for all network services (storage, compute, streaming), reward node operators for their contributed resources, and for staking in governance. The network itself is a Layer-1 blockchain that is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and interoperable with Cosmos, allowing developers to build familiar applications on a scalable chain.
Conclusion
Fundamentally, AIOZ Network is a unified DePIN platform aiming to decentralize the backbone of the internet—storage, computing, and content delivery—by aligning economic incentives with community participation. Will its integrated approach prove more compelling for developers than using separate, specialized protocols?
